Our highly trained staff care about the Princes Centre clients and are dedicated to their well being
The Princes Centre is a regional and national award-winning community run day care centre based in Princes Risborough. It has a highly trained dedicated team who offer day support to older people with dementia, or those who feel isolated and in need of friendship, as well as younger people with learning disabilities or who suffer with mental illness.
It’s been five years since the Centre was effectively “rescued” from closure by the local community and it is continuing to go from strength to strength. From day one, its priority has always been to provide the highest quality of care to its clients. This was highlighted at a recent national awards ceremony in which the Princes Centre won best ‘Not for profit business of the year for 2017’! This following previous regional awards in which the Centre’s manager, Kim Challinor won the Employee of the Year Award and the Centre itself won Community Project of the Year and was credited for its “deep roots within the community and the passion with which it looks after its clients”.
The Centre provides much needed respite for carers and an inspirational environment for elderly people and those with disabilities who are looking to make new friends and want to continue learning and living a fulfilling life. The Centre offers a range of engaging activities, outings and entertainment from arts and crafts classes to swimming, gardening, dancing or simply relaxing with friends over a game of scrabble or dominoes. So, if you are from Risborough, Tring, Bourne End or the surrounding areas, why not come along and see one of our Centres for yourself. We have a friendly team who will be only too happy to show you around and introduce you to some of our clients.
